Swordfish fishing out of Hatteras Village: the run

Swordfish fishing out of Hatteras Village: the run

Boats from Hatteras Village run through Hatteras Inlet to Pamlico Canyon for swordfish. Inlet and port details are on the Hatteras Village port page. For the Gulf Stream and the wider regional picture, see the Atlantic Southeast swordfish guide (see also the wider Atlantic Southeast guide).

This page follows the run in order: the inlet, the named structure on the way out, the canyon, and the charters that list swordfish.

When swordfish are around

Timing and swordfish behavior are covered in the swordfish species guide. For port-level timing, ask the captains directly. Two local charters list swordfish:

  • Matador Charters
  • Good Times Sportfishing

Both are covered below.
