Format: Marlin are catch and release and ranked by most releases, with ties broken by who made the final qualifying release first. Swordfish ranked by heaviest qualifying fish, surface-caught ahead of deep-drop. First to third in marlin and swordfish in each division. Captains need a valid California fishing license. Fishing area runs from Santa Rosa Island to the Mexican border.
