How blackfin are fished here

Do Stay Sportfishing suggests two approaches, matched to time of day and to what the fish are doing. Neither guarantees fish. Details are in Do Stay’s offshore trip notes.
Dawn and dusk
Use small lures or live bait at dawn and dusk, and plan the run so you are on the 200-300 ft band during those windows.
Surface busts
Poppers work when blackfin bust on the surface. If fish are feeding on top, switch to a popper and cast to the bust.
